I hear horse jockeys get paid well

So this is Christopher's growth chart. He puts the "tini" in Contini. Yes, I know we are a short family, but this is even tiny for our kids. The bottom graph is weight, the top is height.

While he is not winning any contests in either category (unless smallest wins), his weight is a bit worse. The crazy thing to me is that he eats. All the time. Joey was also small ( but not like this), but he hardly ate anything. We used to say he was living on air alone. But Christopher eats. But he also has diarrhea and pretty much has since he started solids at 6 months. So we saw a GI doctor last week. We collected about 10 different stool samples (I use the term "we" loosely, as it was Peter who got stuck with the poop collecting! Blech!) and the poor guy had blood drawn 3 different times (First place couldn't get it, second place got some, but called us back a week later becuase they did not have enough). So far everything is normal, but we don't have the food allergy tests back, and that is what I most suspect. I waffle between wanting everything to be normal, but then just accept we have this ridiculously tiny kid, to wanting there to be something wrong so we can fix it!! Sigh... I will post an update when I have one.

Hey! Maybe our boys could get jobs together! LOL! I'm anxious to see how his tests turn out and will be looking for an update. Sending hugs!

I hope the GI can identify whatever the issue is. This has to be tough on all of you.

Found your blog through another one...my boys were the exact opposite of yours on the growth chart. We usually hit the 90 percentile in weight and 80 in height. I suppose they take after their 6'4" 230lb father.

Isn't it funny how it's always something. Two of my kids are off the top and the youngest one is firmly in the middle at 50%. Just when I started to relax the pediatrician is like, your youngest is sort of small...

It's hard wanting to find the answer and solve it right away. I hope the tests come back with an easy answer -- like that's just how he is and he's fine.
