Anatomy of a medical office

Today was the opening day for my new office. There is so much to say, I don't even know where to start! I took tons of pictures throughout the construction process. This is basically what it looked like before we started. What you can't see is the row of 3 rooms to the right which stayed the same structurally.
Unfortunately the foundation was cement so the plumber had to trench out concrete just to get the plumbing in. Expensive!
The frames for the rooms then were layed out.

The walls went up.
We have the upper windows so that natural light from the windows will come into the central area.
Then they painted. The colors did not come out well in the pictures, but it is a cool purple and green combination that perfectly matches my business card and website.
Here is the inside of one of my exam rooms. The table and cabinets all match. I have 2 dark blue rooms, 2 burgundy rooms, and 1 light blue room.
This is the central area in the back. Doctors offices to the right, exam rooms to the left and medical assistant station in the center.
This is really just a small part of the waiting room. The waiting room is pretty big.
I have lots of decorating plans. We are going to have murals done in the exam rooms, more paint and pictures in the waiting room. I am looking for a fun, bright area rug for the waiting room.

Today was good! I only saw a few patients, all from my old practice. They were all so nice and excited about the new office. One patient even brought a little gift. It is going to take some time to build back up again, but I now know that I can do this!

Be still my heart.

This is so excited, Michelle. I feel like this was like a pregnancy of sorts and now the baby is here! I am proud by extension.

Best of luck, but I don't think you need any of that. Well done and congratulations!

Oh my goodness! The inside is amazing but what made my eyes well up was the awning with your name on it. What an awesome dream come true! Congrats and best wishes to you and Peter. Almaden is so lucky to have you both practicing there.
