I mean this Buster Posey:
Not this one:
Let me back up a bit. This morning Vinnie was playing with the snake. I told him to put him back. A couple hours later I went in to make sure he latched the top on. When I walked in Zach's room the aquarium lid was on the floor. I got this sick feeling in the pit of my stomach as I ran to the tank. Buster was gone. I dug all over, hoping he had just buried himself. Nothing.
I called down for the kids and we all started tearing apart Zach's room, then the entire upstairs. Of course we are remodeling our downstairs right now, which means everything from the bottom floor is piled upstairs at the moment. This means that our upstairs resembles an episode of "Hoarders".
After looking for a couple of hours, I gave up. I was really bummed-- I have grown pretty attached to that snake. What if he got scared? Or hungry? Or lonely? But I had to stop, we had Giants tickets. We were gone all day at the game (The Giants won! Yay Giants!).
When we came home Pete was in Zach's room looking for some other lost item (story of our life right now). Sure enough, there was Buster, in his cage (with the lid OFF!). I swear I dug through the cage and he was not there earlier. Pete thinks I just didn't see him. I think Buster missed his cage and the easy life he has in there, and came back. Regardless, good to have you back Buster!

Thank goodness! I wouldn't sleep a wink if I thought a critter like that was loose in my house!
You're so much better at this mothering thing than me. Stuck your hand in the tank?!?!?
Holy schnikies!
Darn wish Buster would slither out the door for good!!
Whew! No matter where he spent the day, I'm just glad he's back where he belongs.
