Have you ever hidden from your kids?

You know, like behind the bathroom door. Or crouched at the foot of the bed. Because you are trying to get ready and you just don't want to get one more cup of juice or pour another bowl of cereal?! No? Oh. Me neither.

Worse! I have never hidden from my kids and then held my breath when they approached the spot I wasn't hiding in, only to exhale after they left so I could enjoy one or two more seconds alone.

Well, I admit, I do it regulalry, lol.

When they fight and come look to mom to referee, sometimes I go hide behind my bed as I hear them approach. i always think it will make them work things out, but usually several minutes later, I am down there trying to settle things!

Guess I won't be getting mom of the year award.

Uh, I've never hidden in the dark, in the basement, behind the furnace eating a chocolate ice cream bar.

So I didn't have to share.

No, I have never done that, because that would be selfish as a mother of three.
